Picture this.
   Standing on the shoreline of the San Pablo Bay, the tide slow and gentle the sound is melodic, in rhythm with my breathing, I am calm here. And, I am at peace here, I am an observer as mother nature displays a picture perfect sunset.  The last day of summer falls behind the horizon, I am in complete awe. All of my hopes and wishes for me to receive in the coming Autumn equinox are absorbed by the warmth of the sunset. I am at peace here and I am grateful.

In a Meadow

Laying down in a meadow
watching the clouds passing by.
Slowly and gradually,
at times hiding the sun from my skin.
The warmth fades, a shadow cast upon the hills.
I am only an observer,
laying down in a meadow.
Admiration fills my heart, as the sun is revealed again.
And, the warmth returns to my skin.
I am safe here.
I belong here.
I am happy here.
